We’re calling all cyber patriots, students, developers, programmers, data scientists, AI enthusiasts, designers, innovators, IT novices, and experts.
Competition
Artificial Intelligence Problem Solving & Pitch Presentation
Student groups will be coached by military and industry IT professionals to solve a problem using artificial intelligence and will then pitch their recommendations.
Each high school team will solve a logistics or finance-related problem using artificial intelligence by leveraging EdFarm’s technology, tools, and guidance from AUM in artificial intelligence. Stakeholders from the finance and logistics communities will provide subject matter expertise to assist in solutioning.
In addition, an agile SCRUM master, design thinking coaches, AUM artificial intelligence professors, and EdFarm technology and tools experts will be on hand to provide guidance and support.
A 90-second pitch presentation will be created and presented after the event to provide recommendations to the judges on whether or not artificial intelligence is a valuable technology to help solve the problem and assist in decision-making for the client.
100 points – Technical Solution (50 points), Quality of Presentation (20), Delivery of Pitch (30)
Technical Solution (50 points)
- 20 points – Technical Feasibility (how feasible is this proposal?)
- 20 points – Problem Fit (how well does it solve the presented issues?)
- 10 points- Innovation (how innovative is the Solution?)
Quality of Presentation (20 points)
- 10 points – Included all requirements (identified the team demographics; stated the problem clearly )
- 10 points – Clearly stated any technical challenges they encountered and how they handled them; clearly stated their recommendations to the client
Delivery of Pitch (30 points)
- 10 points – the pitch completed in 90 seconds or less
- 10 points – the pitch and visual aids were easy to understand and follow
- 10 points – the presenters had a professional presence
Awards are given for first, second, and third place.
